Need a hand with CaloriePace? Email us at caloriepace@mjazlan.com and we'll get back to you, usually within a few business days. There's no account to log in to — please include your iOS version and a short description of what you were doing.

The app isn't showing a calorie target

CaloriePace builds your target from your activity. Either grant Apple Health access when asked, or open Settings → Your details and enter your height, age, and weight, then tap recalculate. If you use a non-Apple tracker (WHOOP, Oura, Garmin, and others), make sure it's set to write energy data to Apple Health — CaloriePace reads from Health, so any tracker that feeds Health works.

Fixing Apple Health permissions

If you tapped "Don't Allow" by mistake, open the iOS Health app → your profile → Privacy → Apps → CaloriePace, and enable the categories you want to share. CaloriePace reads resting/active energy (to set your target) and writes the meals you log as dietary energy. All of this stays on your device — nothing is uploaded to us.

Barcode scanning isn't working

Scanning needs camera access — allow it when prompted, or enable it in iOS Settings → CaloriePace → Camera. If a product isn't found, it may not be in the Open Food Facts database yet; use Search or Quick Add to log it manually.

Logging by grams instead of servings

When you pick a searched or scanned food that includes per-100 g/ml nutrition, the log screen shows a Servings / Grams switch — choose grams (or millilitres for drinks) and enter the amount. If a food only has per-serving data, it logs by servings.

Using meal prep

Open Add Meal → Prep → New meal prep. Add each ingredient at the quantity you cooked (search, scan, or enter it manually), set how many equal portions you made, and CaloriePace computes the per-portion calories and macros. Your saved prep stays in the list — tap it any time to log one portion.

Editing or deleting a logged meal

On the Today screen, tap a meal in the Consumed list to edit it, or use the menu (•••) on the row to Edit or Delete. Deleting a meal also removes the matching dietary-energy sample from Apple Health.

Restoring CaloriePace Pro

CaloriePace Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. On a new device or after reinstalling, open the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases to unlock it again at no charge with the same Apple ID.

Deleting your data

Because everything is stored on your device, deleting the app removes its data. Meals written to Apple Health remain in Health — remove them in the Health app if you wish. We hold no copy of your data because we never collect it; see the Privacy Policy for details.

A note on the numbers

CaloriePace is a wellness tool, not medical advice. The calorie math is a well-established rule of thumb, not a guarantee. Talk to a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition.
